AI agents shop differently

A buyer's AI agent doesn't browse pages. It queries structured data. If your product doesn't have machine-readable provenance — material, origin, certifications, carbon — it doesn't exist in the agent's response.

JSON-LD is the standard

ESPR mandates JSON-LD. Shopify's MCP ecosystem is being built on JSON-LD. Economy3 records are schema.org-native by design — not retrofitted. The same record that satisfies an ESPR auditor is queryable by Claude.

Verification without surveillance

When an agent verifies your product, the buyer's context — who they are, what else they're shopping for — stays private. Trust lives in the signed record, not in the conversation. This is the architecture that survives Meredith Whittaker's objection.
